SOWING:

Start your parsley plants indoors 4-6 weeks before your last frost or direct sow seeds outdoors after danger of last frost. Soak your parsley seeds overnight, then plant them 1/4" deep and keep them at 65-70 degrees F. Be sure to provide adequate lighting for germination and for growing by placing the growing trays or pots near a sunny window or by using a LED grow light. Please note that parsley seeds are well known to be slow to germinate and could take 3-5 weeks before you see sprouts. During this time be sure to keep the soil evenly moist. Once your parsley seeds germinate, transplant your seedlings outside when soil temperature reaches 60 degrees F. Parsley plants should be planted in full sun or partial shade 6" apart with 16"-24" spacing in between rows. Parsley grows very well in containers, on your patio, indoors or outdoors in your garden.

Growing Triple Curled Parsley

Since parsley have very shallow roots it's very important to keep the soil moist.
You can do so by applying mulch which helps conserve moisture as well as control weeds.

HARVESTING:

You can begin harvesting a few leaves once you see adequate growth. When doing so cut at least 10" of stem with the leaves to keep your parsley plants healthy. You can also harvest the whole plant as well, cutting it off just above the ground level. The wonderful thing with parsley is that it will keep growing new leaves. The cut and come again method is great for many herbs including parsley and lettuce as well. Best used fresh but can be dried or frozen as well to preserve freshess.
