Red Cherry Hots Hot Pepper seeds is a small, bushy pepper plant that's very productive. This hot pepper plant variety grows to about 24" tall and produces an abundance of red cherry hot peppers about 1.5"-2" round. They go from bright green in colour to red when mature. It's an excellent high yielding hot pepper plant variety. On the Scoville Heat Scale Red Cherry Hot Peppers are on the lower end of the scale at 3500 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Ready to harvest in 75 days.

Growing & Planting Red Cherry Hots Hot Pepper Seeds

Planting Seeds

Start Red Cherry Hot pepper seeds indoors in peat pots about 8 weeks before the last frost. Sow seeds about 1/2" deep and keep soil at 80-85F until germination. Provide natural sunlight or use a LED grow light for 12-16 hours a day. When the outside temperature reaches 70-75F, harden off your plants gradually before transplanting seedlings outside. After danger of last frost, transplant your pepper plant seedlings to garden in rich soil and full sun with about 16" between pepper plants and about 36" between rows.

Growing

Peppers grow very well in containers or raised beds. These pepper plants will grow about 24"-30" tall. Always remember too, you can always grow peppers indoors as well 365 days a year. Just certain extra steps are required versus growing them outdoors such as lighting and pollination. When growing outdoors lastly apply a generous amount of mulch to conserve moisture and control weeds during the growing season.

Harvesting

Harvest hot peppers when you prefer. Please note however the longer the peppers mature on the plant, the hotter the peppers will be. If you want to encourage continuous fruiting always pick the peppers while still in the green stage. This way the pepper plants will keep on producing. By continuously picking hot peppers you'll get an extended harvest.
